1991 PPG Syclone Indy Pace Truck
Can't get much rarer than this one. Considered the Holy Grail by many Sy/TY enthusiasts, I am proud to have this 1 of 1 truck as part of my collection. When GM went bankrupt in 2009 they sold some of the cars from their Heritage collection via Barrett Jackson. I acquired the truck in 2013.
The Syclone was the fastest production truck in 1991. Car & Driver famously rated it faster than the Ferrari in the 1/4 mile. Output was 280 hp (209 kW) and 350 lb·ft and the truck was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and could do a quarter-mile in 13.6 seconds at 93 mph. One was customized by PPG in 1992 as a PPG Indy Series Pace Car -- This is that truck.
